Offering what is his to me, was what made me reflect on – how easy it is for children to share in a very matter of fact way, without a concern in the world about ‘its’ limited availability. My boy while sitting and eating his snack at an outdoor trip offered me his Idli, judiciously dipped in chutney - when his mother prompted him to share. He made sure I bit into it and with approximated thumb and forefinger said chaan-chaan meaning yummy; and also followed it up in a short while asking non-verbally if I wanted another bite.Communication with children happens in myriad ways.
